Speaking worksheet 3A

Time flews away, many things changed and of course every change is made to be able to provide something better

One of the most change is on the field of technology, and my favorite gadget on technology is computer, on computer you can do almost all, like listening music, watching movie, or you can edit them and what I do often on computer is playing video game.

If you pay attention on progress of computer, you must know about first program on computer, its called biner, the combination of number 0 and 1 until make it program and application like now days.
Ok, I will explain the different about old computer and the new computer like what we use on this day.

From the old computer:

·       First, from the shape of monitor, it have a small screen but got a wide bezel. The screen give not best quality of pixel but maybe it was the modern one when it years

·       Second, the old computer do not have big internal memory, and when you want to move the file from your computer to another computer you must use an eksternal memory and its called a floppy disk.
·       Third, the function, what you can do on old computer maybe just make a digital file, communication, calculation. That’s way many people don’t have a computer inside the expensive price.

·        Next, the keyboard and mouse still use cable, although we still use cable on our keyboard and mouse, but is different cable and now days was available mouse and keyboard who was not use cable, it use technology what we called wireless.

      Ok, we next to the new generation of computer:

·        On computer we use now days, the screen have more big than old computer and I what I love from screen now days is bezelless. It means no more bezel. And the screen is give more quality of video, until 4K resolution.

·        Next, new computer have big capacity of memory, you can use hardisk as main memory and you can use SSD if you want more speed when run your application. And when you want to move your file to another computer you can do with many ways. You can use a flashdisk, hardisk or you can use cloud memory like google drive, dropbox and many more.

·       The function, like what I was talked on first, you can do almost everything, you can use internet to know about something, learn a new thing, watch a viral video, playing video games with many people who you never meet before with internet. What I want to say is, internet help us do everything in now days.

·       The new computer give you more option if you want to modification it, with a cool keyboard and mouse who has not use cable anymore, and already use RGB.

·       And what help us to operate the computer is user interface, on now days computer, the developer make user interface more easy to us or friendly user, that’s what important thing for developer.

LIFE


Hii! My name is Aldi Rifaldi and my nickname is Aldi, I am the fisrt of two children, as the first child of course I have to be a good example for my younger brother and by the way my younger brother is a boy. I was born in Sukabumi, August 2th 1997 and now I’m 21 years old. Currently, I live in Jalan Margonda Raya, Depok with my parents. I started my Elementary School at SDN Karanganyar, Sukabumi. When I was in Elementary School, I really love sport and the sport that I like is badminton and soccer.

After graduated from my Elementary School, I chose SMPN 1 Tegalbuleud as my next education and of course I still like badminton, in junior high school I participated in badminton competitions several times, but I never won, it was very sad but I was proud, because I was trusted by my school to take part in the competition. After completing my junior high school I registered in SMKN 1 Tegalbuleudand I chose Computer Engineering and Networking, I really enjoyed as the Computer Engineering and Networking student, that interest me to be a Network Engineer, I got a lot of lesson about Computer, Networking, Troubleshooting and many more.

In high school, I often follow wild racing with my friends which finally made me have extraordinary ambition and you know what that ambition is? I want to be a Motogp rider, but as time goes by I began to understand that my ambition were too high, finally I changed my ambition to become an expert of heaven, No no it's just a joke My dream is to be a Computer Engineer, and work as specialist in Embedded System departement. But Computer is not the only one who exist in my mind, I want to create a war robot. Why do I want to create a war robot? Because I hate seeing many soldiers who have to die in war, I hate war but at least with the existence of war robots it can help reduce the number of dead soldiers, the army has a family but no robot. After graduated from my Vocational High School, I continue my education in Gunadarma University and I take Computer System major. Because I want to continue my vocational and to reach my goals to be a Computer Engineer, and work as specialist and create war robots.

In college I have many new friends I’m very happy with my classmtes now, they’re very kind and we’re help each other. There are 28 students in our class. I only become an ordinary student on campus I just come follow learning then go home, sometimes my friend calls me Kupu-Kupu (Kuliah pulang Kuliah pulang) there is no interesting experience that I can share while on campus, but I am very excited I want to graduate on time I want to give the best for my parents and of course for my future and don't forget for my lovely country Indonesia.

DEBIAN

Debian merupakan sistem operasi komputer yang tersusun dari paket-paket perangkat lunak yang dirilis sebagai perangkat lunak bebas dan terbuka dengan lisensi mayoritas GNU General Public License dan lisensi perangkat lunak bebas lainnya.

Debian GNU/Linux memuat peralatan sistem operasi GNU dan kernel Linux merupakan distribusi Linux yang popmuler dan berpengaruh. Debian didistribusikan dengan akses ke repositori dengan ribuan paket perangkat lunak yang siap untuk instalasi dan digunakan.

Debian dapat digunakan pada beragam perangkat keras, mulai dari komputer/laptop dan desktop hingga telepon dan server. Debian memfokuskan kestabilan dan keamanan. Debian sering digunakan sebagai basis dari banyak distribusi GNU/Linux lainnya.

Sistem operasi Debian adalah penggabungan dari perangkat lunak yang dikembangkan dengan lisensi GNU, dan utamanya menggunakan kernel Linux, sehingga populer dengan nama Debian GNU/Linux. Sistem operasi Debian yang menggunakan kernel Linux merupakan salah satu distro Linux yang populer dengan kestabilannya. Dengan memperhitungkan distro berbasis Debian, seperti Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Knoppix, Mint, dan sebagainya, maka Debian merupakan distro Linux yang paling banyak digunakan di dunia.

Debian dikenal karena pilihannya yang beragam. Rilis stabil saat ini memuat lebih dari 29000 paket perangkat lunak untuk 9 arsitektur komputer. Debian menggunakan kernel linux dan jmenggunakan 2 kernel FreeBSD (kfreebsd-i386 and kfreebsd-amd64). Arsitektur komputer ini mulai dari Intel/AMD 32-bit/X86-64bit yang umumnya ditemukan pada komputer pribadi hingga arsitektur ARM yang umumnya ditemukan di sistem embedded dan server mainframe IBM zSeries


Fitur yang menonjol pada Debian adalah sistem manajemen APT, repositori dengan jumlah paket yang banyak, kebijakan paket yang ketat, dan kualitas rilis yang terjaga. Praktik ini memungkinkan pemutakhiran yang sederhana antar rilis, begitupun untuk penghapusan paket.

Standar instalasi Debian menggunakan lingkup dekstop GNOME. Termasuk di dalamnya program OpenOffice.org, Iceweasel, Evolution, program penulisan CD/DVD, playermusik dan video, penyunting, perangkat lunak membaca dokumen. Selain itu terdapat juga CD dengan lingkungan desktop KDE, Xfce dan LXDE.

Kelebihan:
  • Paket Debian dikenal super-stabil yang artinya bukan merupakan paket “state of the art“.
  • Kestabilan program yang telah teruji, sistem tidak mudah mengalami hang, walaupun telah menjalankan program secara terus menerus dalam kurun waktu yang relatif lama yaitu lebih dari satu bulan, dengan tanpa harus melakukan restart.
  • Sistem pemeliharaan paket berbasis program “APT” yang canggih
  • Sistem hanya di-reboot setelah mengganti kernel, mati listrik, atau pergantian perangkat keras. Berbeda dengan system operasi windows pada saat update system harus di-reboot terlebih dahulu.
  • Non komersial yang dihasilkan oleh para sukarelawan dari seluruh dunia yang saling bekerjasama melalui Internet, sehingga dapat dikembangkan atau dipakai secara gratis. Pemeliharaan sistem (update) dapat ditangani dengan campur tangan si admin yang sangat minim.
  • Free Software, artinya dapat mengambil/ menyalin source program Linux tanpa dikenai biaya dan dapat memperbanyak, memodifikasi serta menyebarluaskan secara bebas
  • Open Source, artinya semua listing program dari source code sistem operasi tersebut dapat dilihat dandimodifikasi tanpa adanya larangan dari siapapun
  • Debian Linux merupakan sistem operasi cross platform yang dapat dijalankan pada hampir semua jenis/tipe komputer yang ada saat ini.


Kekurangan:
  • Siklus pengembangan distro sangat konservatif alias lambat
  • Para pengebang tidak mengenal istilah “dead line” sehingga jangka waktu antar rilis dapat bertahun-tahun.
  • Versi software yang dipakai debian biasanya lebih tua dari yang sudah rilis saat ini
  • Sangat sulit memasukkan software versi terbaru kedalam distronya, sebelum benar benar teruji dari sisi keamanannya ataupun kestabilannya
  • Sulit dikonfigurasi pada saat install pertama kali
  • Perlu repositori besar (40-60 GB )
